Engine oil dilution with diesel fuel isn''t normally a concern. As dilution increases, blue smoke will appear and get thicker, alerting the operator of a problem. As long as the problem is discovered in a reasonable time, no measurable wear will occur When inspecting the engine components, the machined surfaces will have a polished, chrome-like appearance.
