Today, more than 50 Habitat affiliates in the United States and Canada have begun selling donated building materials. The items are donated by contractors who ended up with excesses on building sites, by demolition crews who set aside usable materials or by the general public. Cleverly called ReStores, Habitat''s retail outlets not only help recycle leftover materials, reduce trash in landfills and cut back on resource extraction, but they also help support Habitat for Humanity''s work. According to the international headquarters, Habitat''s most successful ReStores generate enough revenue to build 10 or more houses per year!

Farmers and ranchers have strong opinions about the equipment and products they operate and use, according to results from the first Successful Fanning magazince Stockmen''s Survey [TM]. The survey asked livestock producers to rate products they like best -- 14 categories in all. The lists in boxes (below and on the following pages) represent the brands with the highest response rate and also include editor''s selections of popular models with pricing, minus options and add-ons.A key finding of the survey goes beyond mere opinion. Many producers cite a piece of equipment as a reason for how they are able to improve their operations. And, the product types they report are across the board -- from the biggest tractor to the smallest type of computer hardware.

Though light in weight, Airbor magnetic drill has a powerful 1.6-hp air motor and 1,600-lb magnetic holding strength. With its extra rack, stroke length is extended to 10 1/4 in. Annular cutter capacity is up to 2 1/16 in. diam. Geared chuck adapter converts the unit to a standard drill press.
